About Laura

Laura expresses her love of nature through acrylic paintings on canvas. Her specialty and favorite landscapes are those of the beaches by her home in Encinitas, where she lived with her husband and three beautiful daughters. Laura just moved back to Tahoe, where she grew up, and is trying her hand at painting a different type of scenery. 

Laura’s love of nature began at a young age, growing up in the pristine setting of Lake Tahoe. At fifteen, she moved to Del Mar, where she fell in love with the spectactular beauty of the Southern California coastline. Now settled in beautiful Encinitas, she is inspired by the Pacific Ocean and the gorgeous beaches along the coast.

From an early age, Laura excelled in art and has enjoyed embroidery, pottery and leatherwork. Today, she coats canvases in acrylic, turning them into exhilarating representations of her subjects. Beyond coastal scenes, she also loves to paint the faces of loved ones, fairies and to recreate the works of the masters, such as Degas, Van Gogh and Monet.
